This afternoon I took a quick trip through the Austin MLS just to see how poorly some homes are marketed. It didn’t take long to turn up these gems.

Getting your home sold quickly requires an effective strategy. Price, location and the condition of your home will ultimately determine how quickly it will sell. However, with over 80% of homebuyers beginning their search on the internet, it’s imperative you have quality photographs to market your home effectively online. Many buyers will decide whether or not to make an appointment to view a particular home based on the first impression created by the photographs online.

The images above evidence, not all real estate agents (and sellers for that matter… remember, the seller hires the agent) value the importance of properly marketing a home. So, when you’re considering listing your home with a particular agent, ask to see their marketing portfolio and specifically review the quality of their marketing photographs in print, as well as on the web

My advice to all (sellers and real estate agents) make every pixel count.

If you’re interested to see how my marketing plan will maximize your home’s exposure, drop me a line.
